I often return to the theme of warring thoughts within a person’s mind. People are never what they seem. Most of us, including me, present a face to the world that doesn’t truly reflect how we feel inside. One side of the face is slightly demonic while the other is sleepily innocent and at peace. I have named this carving Between Two Thoughts to reflect on what we think and what we say are not always the same.
