The gamble that jade merchants take when they buy a cobble of jade is well known. They won’t know for sure until they cut into it whether or not there is gem quality jade inside. There are many short films on Chinese social media that suggest the amateur can make a fortune by gambling in this way. In part one, we saw a young woman lose a small fortune gambling in this way. It didn’t put her off. In Part 2 she is more successful.
