Jade Talk

I was very honoured to be asked to give a talk on jade to the staff at the British Consulate in Shanghai. It was organized by the British Council, and there were a few ‘working from home’ who logged on as well as being attended by most of those in the building at the time. Quite challenging as the majority were Chinese and had some knowledge of jade. As well as being given an overview of the modern Chinese jade industry, they were invited to bring along pieces to be appraised and given tips on how to tell fake from real jade, where to buy, and how much to pay.
