An exhibition of modern jade carvings to be held in one of the world’s premier museums of lapidary art.

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, which already boasts a fabulous collection of Qing Dynasty jades, is to stage an exhibition of contemporary jade carvings by artists from all over the world. The exhibition will be launched in November and be open to the public until April 2025. It is the brainchild of museum curator, Dorothy Asher and jade artist, Georg Schmerholz, who has probably done more to bring jade to the attention of the American public than anyone else this century. There is also the possibility that it will become a touring exhibition where the jades will be displayed at four other museums in the USA.
